Extraordinary stellar explosion catches NASA's eye
A fantastic stellar explosion discovered on January 21st has become the main topic under discussion among many space administrations. The blast, named as SN 2014J, occured in the galaxy M82 and lies only about 12 million light years from Earth. This makes it the nearest optical supernova in two decades. Astronomers have planned observations with NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR), NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and Swift Missions.

Commercial Space Travel to become reality in 2014?
The most awaited dawn of private manned space travel appears to be closer to reality. Virgin Galactic's suborbital SpaceShipTwo has mastered its third supersonic test flight and officials say they are right on track to begin commercial service later this year.

ISS marathon continues
NASA is delighted to announce that the Obama Administration has approved the extension of the International Space Station (ISS) until at least 2024, four years after its planned retirement.
